Daikin Industries (Thailand) Ltd., together with five other Daikin group companies in Thailand, had the honor of welcoming Mr. Masato Otaka, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan, to the Kingdom of Thailand, along with Mr. Toru Kajiwara, Minister for Economic Affairs, and accompanying attachés for the first time to its factory in Chonburi, Thailand, on May 27, 2025.

The purpose of the visit was to present Daikin’s initiatives in Thailand and to exchange views on how Daikin, as a Japanese company, can take the lead in advancing a circular economy within the country.

To welcome the delegation, Mr. Akinori Atarashi, Chairman of Daikin Industries (Thailand) Ltd., delivered a welcome speech introducing Daikin and its group companies in Thailand. He also shared insights on the current market landscape, Daikin’s “People-Centered Management” approach, and its “2050 Environmental Vision.” 

The delegation then toured the Training Center, Factory 1, and the R&D Center. Directors from the Human Resources and Manufacturing divisions shared ongoing initiatives focused on human resource development and the transformation of production processes through IoT and automation. At the Research & Development Center, Daikin directors and key members showcased the company’s latest innovations, discussed key challenges facing the competitive market, and introduced current initiatives — including indoor air quality solutions, strategies supporting the shift toward a circular economy and carbon neutrality.

This valuable visit, along with the insightful guidance offered by Ambassador Otaka, Minister Kajiwara, and the attachés, will play a significant role in supporting Daikin’s continued progress despite the challenges ahead.
