Innovation & Technology
With Daikin Technology, We are the Global Leading Air Conditioning Innovator
One of the most advanced technologies invented by Daikin is the swing inverter compressor, which
had been developed by combining the core and roller of the compressor into one single component.
Such perfect combination reduces friction and vibration, along with refrigerant leakage during
the compression, resulting in high efficiency and reduced energy consumption. With this
technological advancement, Daikin’s patented swing-type motor received an award from Japan
Society for the Promotion of the Machine Industry in 1997.
R-32 Refrigerant
R-32 refrigerant has high cooling efficiency with no damage to the ozone layer. In addition,
it causes less environmental impact than other refrigerants by up to three times, while
providing 60% higher cooling efficiency than the previous refrigerant. The integration of R-32
refrigerant into Daikin’s inverter reduces energy consumption substantially, which maximizes its
energy efficiency ratio with certification from the Electricity Generating Authority of
Thailand.
Inverter Motor
Inverter is a system that controls the speed of compressors. It converts alternating current
(AC) from the power supply, which has constant pressure and frequency, into direct current (DC)
through the use of a converter circuit. The direct current is then converted into alternating
current wherein the pressure and frequency can be adjusted with an inverter circuit.
The operations of an inverter air conditioner are different from that of the traditional air
conditioners. When an inverter air conditioner is switched on, it will gradually cool the room
to a set level after which the compressor will adjust its speed to maintain a constant room
temperature.
