Daikin Industries (Thailand) LTD. (hereinafter, DIT) is the manufacturing hub in the ASEAN-Oceania region which contributes about 14% towards Daikin’s global production. Over its 35-year history, DIT led regional operations in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and environmental management through the “Production Daikin System.”   Since establishing the R&D center in 2005, DIT has gradually increased its development of models. Also taking the lead to strengthen regional cooperation, leveraging each base's strengths to enhance the regional manufacturing structure. Ultimately, as DIT will steer the ASEAN-Oceania region as a control tower to become an innovative factory, I have established three key challenges.

Firstly, to adapt to rapid global changes and thrive in business by optimizing production and strengthening systems through regional collaboration, aiming at highly efficient, integrated high-speed production lines by 2030.   Secondly, to stay ahead in the competitive Room AC market, enhance collaboration across sales, development, and production to create unrivaled products with efficient, integrated manufacturing.  Finally, for DIT’s growth, human resource development is another priority, fostering an environment that attracts and retains talent, embodying Daikin’s People-Centered Management.  In addition to these challenges, DIT commits to sustainable development. We have achieved the Green Industry Award through efforts, such as installing solar power, use of efficient air conditioning, and LED lighting. We also focus on recycling waste and reducing water usage.

In February 2024, we signed an MOU with Siam DENSO Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (hereinafter, SDM) to enhance environmental initiatives, including installing energy-efficient air systems in SDM’s factories to reduce energy use and CO2 emissions. Our goal is to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.   Furthermore, we support local communities by promoting health, economic revitalization, and providing environmental education and technical training. As a leader in environmental management, we will continue collaborating with local communities to ensure a sustainable future.
