Daikin Supports the Development of Vocational Skills in Thailand Sponsoring the 34th National Air Conditioning Installation Skills Competition, Academic Year 2025

Daikin Industries (Thailand) Ltd. continues to advance its corporate social responsibility (CSR) mission by supporting the “34th National Vocational Certificate (Vocational Diploma) Individual Air Conditioning Installation Skills Competition, Academic Year 2025.” The event was held from 11–15 February 2026 at Buriram Vocational College, Buriram Province, with 10 teams from vocational institutions under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission (OVEC) participating nationwide.


The opening ceremony was honored by Mrs. Benjawan Pokpong, Director of Phra Nakhon Polytechnic College, who presided over the event. At the same occasion, Daikin was presented with a certificate of appreciation as a supporter of the competition, received on behalf of the company by Mr. Kungwan Srinonkote, Senior General Manager of Daikin Industries (Thailand) Ltd., demonstrating the company’s ongoing commitment to developing the skills and potential of Thai vocational youth.


The competition is held annually under the support of the Office of the Vocational Education Commission (OVEC), providing an opportunity for vocational students to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice, gain hands-on experience, enhance their professional skills and prepare for quality employment in the industrial sector.

On this occasion, Daikin organized a special event, the “Daikin Activity Day,” delivering knowledge through a special workshop that included both theoretical and hands-on training in copper and aluminum pipe brazing, a core skill in air conditioning installation. The workshop was conducted by certified specialists from Daikin Industries Ltd., Japan, aimed at enhancing participants’ in-depth understanding and internationally standardized techniques, which can be applied not only in the competition but also in their future professional careers.



This year’s competition was conducted in both theoretical and practical components, using assessment criteria based on the Occupational Skill Standards of the Department of Skill Development, aiming to elevate professional standards in line with the needs of the industrial sector.



The competition results are as follows:

Mr. Sirawit Thongmak from Rayong Technical College received the first-place award.


Mr. Wichsarut Bauchana from Udon Thani Technical College received the first runner-up award.


Mr. Nithi Wongpradit from Phrae Technical College received the second runner-up award.


The awards were presented, and the closing ceremony was presided over by Mr. Phuwadon Mingkhwan, Director of the Office of Vocational Education Research and Development, Office of the Vocational Education Commission, Ministry of Education.


Daikin believes that the development of vocational skills among youth is a fundamental foundation for the sustainable advancement of Thai industries. The company remains committed to supporting education and the continuous development of vocational personnel, aiming to help shape the future of Thai technicians to reach international standards and to grow alongside Thai society in a stable and sustainable manner.
