Daikin, the main sponsor of OVEC Skill Competition 2024, 35th Southern Region, Air Conditioning Installation Skills Competition for The Academic Year 2024. We support air conditioning and equipment, also committed to promoting skills in welding copper and aluminum pipes for air conditioning installation to create knowledge for participants in Daikin Activity Day. We aim to elevate the skills of vocational students to become capable professionals, to be a key force for development of the workforce and air conditioning industry in the future.

Daikin, as the main sponsor of air conditioning installation skills competition, has been continuously supporting the activity. We are committed to a business philosophy that goes hand in hand with enhancing the skill standards of personnel in the air conditioning industry, covering all aspects. Especially by promoting vocational students to grow into a key force in this industry in the future. Daikin has opened its company premises as a space for academic learning and practical experience, in collaboration with government agencies to establish The Labour Skill Standard Testing Centers Level 2. Furthermore, it has continuously supported OVEC Skill Competition since 2022.

“Most recently, from December 3rd to 5th, 2024, Daikin supported OVEC Skill Competition 2024 for air conditioning installation skills in Southern Region. Which has educational institutions from The Office of the Vocational Education Commission, with 12 teams participating. This activity is considered a key component for developing personnel with knowledge and skills that align with the demands of labor market and industrial sector”

OVEC Skill Competition 2024, 35th Southern Region, Air Conditioning Installation Skills Competition for The Academic Year 2024. The event was held at Phang Nga Technical College, with Daikin Industries (Thailand) Ltd. and Siam Daikin Sales Co., Ltd. providing support with equipment and air conditioning for used in the competition. The objective is to enable vocational students to apply the knowledge, they have learned for practical benefit. Additionally, it helps to enhance skills and practical work experience while studying, to promotes preparation for life after graduation and future career opportunities.

The winners are the following ones;

Winner : Nakhon Si Thammarat Seaboard Industrial College

First runner-up : Trang Technical College

Second runner-up : Songkhla Technical College

Honorable mention : Phatthalung Technical College

Top 3 winners, they will continue to participate in national competitions, which is scheduled to take place in February 2025.
