The Daikin Group, a major global air conditioner manufacturer, operates under the concept of "Perfecting the Air" and has been conducting community reforestation projects for over 14 years, with the aim of adding fresh air and oxygen to local communities.
Our core policy is to conduct business with a deep awareness of environmental issues and the current fluctuating weather conditions, which are largely caused by the depletion of natural resources, particularly forests. The company is committed to actively addressing these problems and aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
The community reforestation project has been held annually since 2008 as part of the organization's CSR activities. Over the past 14 years, Daikin has collaborated with local communities to plant more than 23,322 trees, each contributing to the growth of forests that enhance community abundance. This year marks the 15th reforestation event, where more than 2,000 trees were planted across 32,000 m² at Wat Bueng Ton Chan, Chak Bok Subdistrict, Ban Khai District, Rayong, on July 20, 2024.
The Daikin Group and all employees are committed to addressing the challenges posed by environmental changes. We are continuously implementing environmentally friendly practices in product development and manufacturing activities to achieve net zero carbon dioxide emissions, in line with our set targets.
