Daikin Industries (Thailand) Ltd., a global leader in air conditioning technology, continues to uphold its commitment to corporate social and environmental responsibility through the "2025 DAIKIN Reforestation" project. This initiative focuses on forest rehabilitation and strengthening community engagement in targeted areas, with the goal of restoring ecological balance in a sustainable manner.

Over the years, global environmental changes such as global warming, air pollution and natural disasters have had a profound impact on people's quality of life. Recognizing the importance of these critical issues, Daikin and all of its employees remain committed to conducting business with environmental responsibility at the core. The company has adopted eco-friendly principles across all aspects of its operations from product development to manufacturing processes with the goal of continuously reducing carbon dioxide emissions. Guided by the concept of "Perfecting The Air", Daikin strives to create cleaner air while moving steadily toward its target of achieving Net Zero Emissions by the year 2050.

Forests not only serve as vital carbon sinks but also play a crucial role in mitigating the effects of global warming and preserving biodiversity. The destruction and loss of forested areas are among the key drivers of climate change. Daikin is therefore committed to fostering awareness and promoting long-term forest conservation, with the goal of sustaining healthy, thriving ecosystems for future generations.

DAIKIN Reforestation project has been carried out consistently each year since 2008 as part of the company’s commitment to social and environmental responsibility. Over the past 15 years, Daikin has planted more than 25,000 trees, which have since grown into thriving forest ecosystems. These reforested areas have delivered tangible benefits to surrounding communities, contributing to environmental restoration and community well-being.

This year marks the 16th year of the 2025 Daikin Reforestation project, aligning with the 35th anniversary celebration of Daikin Industries (Thailand) Ltd. in Thailand. To reaffirm its commitment to environmental conservation, the company has undertaken the planting of 3,500 trees across 30 rai (approximately 12 acres) of land at Khao Nguang Chang Reservoir, Moo 7, Chakbok Subdistrict, Ban Khai District, Rayong Province. Additionally, aquatic species have been released into the reservoir to help restore the ecosystem and promote biodiversity in the area.

The project took place on June 14, 2025, and was made possible through the strong support and collaboration of multiple sectors, including the Community Forestry Promotion Center 6 (Rayong), Community Forest Management Office, Royal Forest Department / the District Chief of Ban Khai / the Mayor of Chakbok Subdistrict / Local Leaders / Area Residents, Daikin Group employees and their families, as well as faculty members and students from Chonburi Technical College, bringing together more than 600 participants.

Daikin remains steadfast in its mission to conduct business in harmony with sustainable social and environmental stewardship. The company envisions the Daikin Reforestation project as a key mechanism for restoring natural resources, raising environmental awareness and fostering collaboration between the organization and local communities, ultimately working together toward a more balanced and sustainable society in the long term.
