Daikin’s commitment to supporting the development of both our organization's personnel and Thai personnel, in the country we operate, is an activity we wholeheartedly pursue. We are dedicated to being actively involved in various activities, such as serving as a centre of National Skill Standards Testing, supporting vocational skills competitions and transferring knowledge and skills in air conditioning technology
On March 28, 2025, Mr.Tsutomu Kurihara, President of Daikin Industries (Thailand) Ltd., Mr.Wallop Phungphairoj, Director & Senior General Manager of Daikin Industries (Thailand) Ltd., Mr.Supakrit Athikachornsuk, Manager of Siam Daikin Sales Co., Ltd., together with executives of the Daikin Group, welcomed Mr.Narongchai Charoenruchisap, Deputy Secretary General of Vocational Education Commission, Mr.Thanaphat Sangchan, Director of the Cooperation Office, Office of the Vocational Education Commission and Ms.Rungthiwa Tochamsri, Ms.Nattaporn Sricham, Deputy Director of Rajasitharam Technical College, along with representatives from 12 educational institutions under Office of the Vocational Education Commission, joined the ceremony where Daikin Industries (Thailand) Ltd. Provided a total of 39 sets of air conditioners and their installation kits
This support resulted from the collaboration between the Daikin Group in Thailand, the Office of the Vocational Education Commission and the Center of Vocational Manpower Networking Management. This collaboration has been continuously carried out since 2021. These activities demonstrate Daikin’s continuous commitment to supporting education for Thai youth. In providing this equipment, we sincerely hope it will greatly promote technical knowledge and skills for Thai students. This will allow both students and teachers to have opportunities for practice and learning from suitable equipment and tools, effectively applying their knowledge gained to real-life work situations
Daikin provided educational institutions under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission with a total of 25 sets. While providing the OVEC Skill Competition at both regional and national levels, including educational institutions under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission that serve as hosts for the competitions, with a total of 14 sets, making a total of 39 sets
Educational institutions under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission that received air conditioners and installation kits include; Udon Thani Technical College, Sukhothai Technical College, Phang Nga Technical College, Nakhon Ratchasima Technical College, Loei Technical College, Trang Industrial and Community Education College, Thungsong Technical College, Phonthong Industrial and Community Education College, Trang Technical College, Songkhla Technical College, Nakhon Si Thammarat Seaboard Industrial College and Lamphun Technical College
While Daikin is proud of our contribution, skill development does not end with only providing these various pieces of equipment. We also understand it is necessary to foster comprehensive cooperation among all relevant sectors, including government agencies, educational institutions, industry leaders and communities, as a driving force to support each other in developing competent personnel capable of driving Thailand forward
